Balancing the Books and the Brand: A New Online Presence for Optimum Bookkeeping Solutions

In this article, you’ll see how Optimum Bookkeeping Solutions was able to start their online presence, build their brand reputability, and attract new and existing clients to interact with their website.

Before working with Red Bird Web Design, they didn’t have a website at all. After working with us, they now have an effective virtual asset that gives their business an online presence and allows them to be discovered online.

Summary:

From our initial conversation with Optimum Bookkeeping Solutions, we understood that they needed a single-page website and new branding to establish their online presence to ensure customer trust, and boost engagement with new and existing clients.

The Challenge:

All of their business was word of mouth because they didn’t have a website for prospective clients to find the company. There was a steady flow of projects but due to future goals for growth and expansion, we recommended a central place for potential clients to engage with them virtually.

Strategy Overview:

In order to solve for this, we came up with the following strategic steps to meet the client’s digital needs:

  1. Discovery to uncover market opportunities, industry research, and competitive research.
  2. UX Design to lead website visitors to informational resources they’re looking for and making it easy for them to submit a contact form and get in touch.
  3. Copywriting to establish customer trust, brand authority, and professionalism thus leading to more leads and conversions.
  4. UI Design to deliver consistent branding, messaging, and marketing across the website and promotional materials.
  5. Development according to scalable, maintainable, and consistent best practices ensuring responsive pages, high speeds, and accessibility.
  6. Management and maintenance as part of our ongoing partnership and commitment to their digital success.

The Process

We started by doing market research to see who Optimum Bookkeeping Solutions’ top competitors were and their respective SEO performance. This allowed us to provide visibility and market insights into what bookkeeping companies had strong offerings and what we needed to include in the web design and content requirements.

In addition to the market research we performed, we worked on Optimum’s offer messaging to make sure we had a clear understanding of their unique value proposition. This helped us get a head start on the copywriting and determining the content requirements.

We moved on from the discovery and research phase into the UX process by analyzing website objectives and user needs to come up with a clear strategy. We were able to organize relevant information and content that served the end user experience while meeting the business objectives we uncovered in discovery.

With our information architecture in mind, the initial wireframes were designed to serve as the backbone of the content. The site was organized in a way to deliver the most relevant information as quickly as possible while telling a story and motivating them to keep reading.

It was time to draft and ultimately finalize the copy for the website based on the user journey and interactive design we came up with earlier. Through several iterations and copywriting drafts, we came up with a compelling message for Optimum Bookkeeping Solutions’ target audience.

After having the wireframes, copy, and content strategy in place, it was time to move into the user interface design. This step was crucial for ensuring a consistent brand image and overall look and feel. We kept with Optimum’s professional and financial services appearance and designed the interface around it.

Once this was approved, the site moved into production and development. This process took all of the content and design and transformed it into a live, fully functional, and high performing website. The functionality and forms were all tested and we ensured everything on the backend was configured properly so a contact form would never be missed for Optimum.

The Optimum Bookkeeping Solutions, LLC website is now live and starting to get more traffic, engagements, and contact forms. This was the first phase of an ongoing partnership that will lead to more phases as they grow their business. Looking forward, we are planning on doing their SEO and more online marketing to help drive growth.
